Independent nurseries usually grow part of their own stock and carry varieties suited to the local climate, while big-box garden departments compete on price for common plants. Plant shops focus on houseplants, succulents and orchids, often with repotting help. Greenhouses and growers sell seedlings and bedding plants in spring, and many offer wholesale prices to landscapers. Landscape designers plan planting beds, patios and irrigation, and some garden centers offer design and installation services as well.

Although this is a lovely greenhouse with a nice gift shop, I was disappointed with its lack of friendliness and customer service. Workers walked by with no greetings or smile. I was juggling quite a few things and no one asked to help bring it to the register. I’m a stickler for good service so I may be over judging. Hoping this helps to improve their service.

I travel throughout Lancaster County specifically to shop at local plant nurseries and greenhouses. During my visit, I was told I could not have the tray that my herbs were sitting in because the greenhouse reuses them. I explained that I was traveling and would be staying in the area for several more days before returning home, but I was still given only a cardboard box instead. Unfortunately, the herbs were already extremely dry when I purchased them. Because they were placed in a cardboard box rather than a reusable plant tray, I now have to repeatedly unpack them to water them, allow them to dry sufficiently, and then repack them before continuing my trip. This has made transporting the plants much more difficult than necessary. Customer service and plant care should be priorities, especially for customers traveling from out of town. My recommendation would be to skip this greenhouse and visit Groff's instead. I have found them to be much more accommodating and customer-focused.

What a beautiful experience. This place is always so well curiated with everything you could need from indoor plants and lovely planters, to a huge variety of outdoor flowers and shrubs. There's always something new to look at and it's amazingly well priced. I can't go by without stopping.

Very relaxing vibes! It’s quiet and serene! You hear the water from the fountains, you smell the flowers and the lavender, I would love to sleep here for a night! It’s just calming, idk how else to put it! I wanted a Venus fly trap, they didn’t have that, although they did point me to a pitcher plant, which is one of those plants that got some deep pitcher type leaves, smells sweet, and it attracts flies, once they land on the lip of the pitcher they fall in, cuz it’s coated with slippery stuff, once they fall in they can’t get out cuz there’s some jagged downward pointing stuff inside the pitcher, and some liquid which dissolves the insect. It’s not as cool as the Venus fly trap in my opinion, which closes on the fly once it lands in it, but still pretty cool! Anyway they’ve also got a table for the kids, some crayons and some coloring pages to keep em entertained while you check out the bags of sea moss! If I ever get a fat garden β€” I’d definitely come here to fill it with some crazy cool things, a fountain or two and some lavender bushes, couple cactuses and those pitcher plants! Ahhh just sit there for days!
